The abducted Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bisi Orungbemi and Senatorial Candidate of the party for Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba, and other victims have regained their freedom on Saturday.

They were kidnapped by unknown gunmen four days ago on Owo-Ikare Expessway at Ajayi Village in Akoko South West Local Government Area of the state, while heading for Akure from Ikare Akoko.
It was gathered that before the release of the victims, their families had paid a sum of N15m ransom to the abductors .
A family source, who confirmed the development, explained that the ransom was paid for the five victims at N3m on each of the victims.
The source said the kidnappers initially insisted on collecting N20m for each of the victims but later reduced it to N3m.
Narrating his ordeal at the kidnappers’ captivity, Ipinsagba said the four days he spent with them was like a hell as they were made to live like animals in the forest.
He said, “The four other victims and I were made to trek for about four hours in the forest before we reached the den of the kidnappers.
“For the days we were with the kidnappers, we were fed with gari and water.”
Ipinsagba, who narrated that the kidnappers were speaking Hausa language, said they slept on the bare floor for the days they spent with them.
He however said they were released around midnight on Friday and got to Akure by 2am on Saturday.
