Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun on Saturday met with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijare, Ifedore local government area of the state.
The meeting which was an elaborate one had in attendance party stalwarts of the party which include the special adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on transport, Mr Tobi Ogunleye, former chairman of the council, Mr Dipo Ajibola among others.
Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun urged party members to be united and work for the good of the party ahead of the general elections next month February and March.
He said he has received some of the grievances as expressed by party members and promised to correct the anomalies.
The speaker said the party members should now concentrate their efforts on how the APC would be victorious in the coming elections.
Earlier, the special adviser to Governor Akeredolu on Transport, Mr Ogunleye said he has met with the Governor alongside party leaders in the council area and that Mr Governor promised to address some of the challenges facing them head on.
He assured them that Ifedore’s place in the scheme of things in the state is secured with their support for the Akeredolu led administration.
The former Council Chairman, Mr Dipo Ajibola urged the members to align with the decision of the party in Ifedore.
He said what is at stake now is for all of them to join hands to return President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, and Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun for another 4 years tenure in the February and March elections.
There were goodwill messages from some party executives who were pleased with the assurances of Mr Governor, speaker of the state, SA on transport and other party stalwarts who spoke earlier.
