Ogwuche Mathias scored twice against Kwara United FC to return Remo Stars FC to winning ways in match day 9 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
A minute silence was observed before the commencement of the game and in the 65th minute for Late Taiwo Ogunjobi.
The Sky Blue Stars played their last home game away from home at the Oshogbo Township Stadium in Ondo State and gainer six points from possible nine points losing only to south west rivals MFM FC.
Daberachi Anyawu levelled up for the Harmony Boys in the forty fifth minute after Ogwuche Mathias earlier put the host ahead in the twentieth minutes before finally sealing the victory for the Sky Blue Stars in the seventh minutes.
Both sides started brightly but Ogwuche Mathias got the first chance of the day for the host after Awoyemi Abiodun set him up earlier in the game and he took a shot that went over the bar.
After Ogwuche scored for the host, Ebenezer Odeyemi from a long throw sighted Shamsudeen Hashim who was free, he made an attempt but went over the bar.
The visitors attempts finally yielded profit in the closing minutes of the first half after Lookmon Binuyo took a decent corner kick that went directly to Daberachi Anyawu to level scores for the Harmony Boys.
The second half started and the game became balanced until Remo Stars Technical Adviser, Kennedy Boboye introduced Shokunbi Dare who make his debut for the Sky Blue Stars after he replaced Ekene Awazie.
His impact was known immediately after he took on Lookmon Binuyo on the edge of their box before he sent in a cross that Ogwuche Mathias converted to give the host a deserved win after they failed to pick a point in their last four games.
With the victory, Remo Stars now have eight points and have now moved up to eighth on Group A table in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
