One thousand (1,000) housing units is to be constructed in Monguno local government area, Borno eyaye.
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum made the announcement while addressing thousands of residents who welcomed him when he arrived Monguno town at the weekend.
Gov. Zulum also announced that his administration would upgrade Monguno General Hospital to a Specialist Hospital.

In order to increase access to western education and open windows to citizens who attended traditional Islamic education to qualify for admission into tertiary institutions, a high Islamic school would be established in Monguno. In addition, stated Gov. Zulum.
High Islamic School have been in existence in Maiduguri; it is a system of adult’s education through which informal educations are integrated to formal education. Students are admitted through evaluation by school authorities.
