The Ondo State House of Assembly under the leadership of its speaker, Rt Hon David Bamidele Oleyelogun on Wednesday dedicated a temporary chamber where legislative duties will be carried out.
This development is an effort of the State Governor, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu in response to the suspension of plenary by the State legislators due to the recent insecurity and dilapidation state of the chamber which has rendered it unfit for legislative duties.
The Bishop of the Akure Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr Oluwole Borokini while dedicating the building lauded the efforts of the State governor in terms of infrastructural developments in the state and for ensuring proper welfarism of the legislators as he prayed for greater developments in the state and the security of her citizens.
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Iroju Ogundeji speaking on behalf of other members appreciated the prompt response of the governor towards the renovation of the Assembly chamber and pleaded for its completion in a short period of time.
