Hundreds Benefited As Adeogun Empowers Constituents With Vocational, Agricultural Tools

No fewer than 270 constituents have benefited from the Agricultural training and various vocational equipment distributed by the lawmaker representing Akoko southwest and Southeast federal constituency, Hon. Ade Adeogun.

The vocational skills and economic enhancement programme for Akoko south small scale entrepreneurs which was held at Oba Akoko was organized by the lawmaker in conjunction with the Nigerian ports authority, after 150 beneficiaries were training in commercial agriculture, conflict resolution and human rights, few days earlier in Supare and Epinmi Akoko, as equally facilitated by Adeogun.

Hon. Ade Adeogun who was represented by a senior aide to the speaker of the house of representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Hon. Segun Olukoju said the lawmaker would continue to serve the people to justify the mandate given to him to represent them in Abuja.

He assured that will continue to do more as he described the gesture as only a tip of the iceberg. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the tools in order to justify Adeogun’s intention to boost entrepreneurship and aid small scale businesses in the constituency.

He reiterated Adeogun’s commitment to the establishment of a Business Incubation Centre in the Constituency, where small businesses can be nurtured and grown into profit-making ventures in order to alleviate poverty within the environment and curtail the rate of crimes and vices among unemployed youths.

According to him, the programme is a redemption of his electoral promises to make an impact on the lives of members of his constituents.

He also advised the constituents to live in harmony with one another and support all government policies and programmes to benefit more democracy dividends.

The Oloba of Oba Akoko, Oba Nurudeen Adegoroye represented by his wife, Olori Emilola Adegoroye and the chairman of Akoko south west local government, Dapo Fasesin while urging the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the vocational equipment equally called on the lawmaker to continue with the good work.

The empowered constituents who include party faithfuls and non party members thanked the lawmaker, saying that he has demonstrated true leadership.

The vocational equipment distributed at the vocational skills and economic enhancement programme for Akoko south small scale entrepreneurs includes hair dryers, sewing machine and generators.
