The Supreme Court on Tuesday nullified the election of Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and subsequently declared Senator Hope Uzodinma has the duly elected Governor of Imo state.

Prior to the judgement, there have been palpable anxiety in the state with political heavyweights not sure where the pendulum will swing to.

The Imo Governorship Appeal was one of the seven judgements to be delivered at the apex court on Monday but due to the absence of one of the judges and disruption of proceedings by the teeming political supporters, the ruling was delayed till today (Tuesday).
