Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the April 18 Local Government chairmanship election in Ondo State, Hon. Gbenga Fasua, has assured his constituencies of getting value for their votes if elected chairman.
Hon. Fasua, who is vying for the Chairmanship position of Akure South Local Government Area, added that he would demystify administration of LGA such that the people could have access to what belongs to them.

He gave the assurances while addressing his think-tank team at his residence in Akure.
Hon. Fasua said, “Our people must get value for their votes. We must justify the confidence they repose in us. We must work for them and make them to have the dividends of good governance. People at the grassroots need more attention from the government. And that exactly we will do.
“Over the years, many of our political leaders had made governance to look like a rocket science which is not. I can assure my good people of Akure South that administering our LGA will be demystified and other LGAs would come to borrow a leaf from us.
“For me, wanting to be Chairman our LGA is wanting to serve them more.
“As a technocrat, I have contributed to the uplift of not just Akure, but also the entire Ondo State. The thing that brings me satisfaction is to put smiles on peoples faces and I have been doing that consistently. I have an unflinching passion for this and we will do it in a bigger form when I become the chairman.
“I am not a political jobber. I’m a business man and it is on record that I gave Ondo State Specialist Hospital machine for free when I was informed that the one it had got bad. Instead of sending patients out and put their lives in danger, I gave my machine to the state to use,” he said.
