The Forum Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 36 states of the Federation including Abuja, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has said that 23 States Chairmen of the ruling party are strongly behind the embattled National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
He said, Oshiomhole as their National Chairman of the ruling APC has done credibly well in repositioning the party which came out victorious in almost all elections, even in some states hitherto governed by opposition parties, insisting that, those who were opposed to Comrade Oshiomhole are doing so for their own interest and not the collective interest of the great party.
Hon. Dalori who is also Chairman of the ruling APC in Borno state made his position known to our Correspondent in Maiduguri on Tuesday while reacting to the press statement signed by the forum’s Publicity Secretary, who doubles as the APC Chairman in Zamfara state, Alhaji Lawal Liman who claimed that the Forum did not passed a vote of confidence on Oshiomhole.

Dalori stressed that those who purportedly concocted such statement disassociating themselves from the majority Forum were enemies of the ruling party and progress of Nigerian state under the leadership of President Muhammad Buhari.
Recalled that the forum’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lawal Liman, in his statement, described as “fraudulent”, a statement claiming that the group met and passed a vote of confidence on Oshiomhole.
But Dalori insisted that those who were opposed to the leadership of Comrade Oshiomhole are doing so for their own selfish interest, and not the interest of the party, which must be resisted by all lovers of good governance and democracy, upholds by ruling APC.
He noted that apart from some state APC chairmen in Zamfara, Kebbi, Ekiti, Sokoto and few others, 23 APC state Chairmen have passed a vote of Confidence on Oshiomhole because of the good work he has been doing, particularly the efforts he puts to ensure the ruling APC won elections in some states hitherto controlled by the opposition parties.

His words: “I am the Forum Chairman of APC states Chairmen in Nigeria, and as I am talking to you, we have 23 States Chairmen of the ruling party who are strongly behind our National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
“The National Chairman of the ruling APC has done credibly well in repositioning our party to greater heights, even in some states hitherto governed by opposition parties, our National Chairman did well to ensure we won governorship and other elective positions in those states. Therefore those who were opposed to Comrade Oshiomhole are doing so for their own interest and not the collective interest our great party.
“Infact, apart from some state APC chairmen like in Zamfara, Kebbi, Ekiti, Sokoto and few others, 23 APC state Chairmen out of the 36 states of the federation including Abuja have passed a vote of Confidence on Oshiomhole because of the good works he has been doing.” Dalori stated.
