“I finished secondary school 2009. I went to 4 different Universities between then and 2019. Most people thought I was possessed. I didn’t care how long it was going to take, but I told myself I was definitely going to get a University degree. Long last, I got it.”
These were the words of Debo Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni on his Twitter handle @mrmacaronii following his passing out parade from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Thursday.
The comedian who is known for his trademark “ooiinn” and “you are doing well” in his online comedy skits shared the memories of his passing out with his teeming followers while praising God for his achievements in the last one year.
“Today I have also added my NYSC certificate. This time last year, no one knew me. Today, by God’s grace, I stood over 2 hours taking pictures with my amazing colleagues who for one reason or the other have come to admire me or my craft.
“Like I keep saying, we will all get to those heights we wish to and even beyond. Just keep pushing! Just do something. Don’t give up because you just might be so close to your breakthrough. This moment is one to cherish for a lifetime.
God for us all!”, he said.
The Precision NG gathered that Debo grew up at Ojota, Lagos Abebi precisely. He studied at Tendercare School which was situated at Ojota then. His secondary education was in Babcock University High School while he obtained a B.A, Theatre Arts at Redeemer’s University.
He was the students union President of the University before graduation.
However, due to a comment he made about the Vice Chancellor of Redeemer’s University on his Facebook page, he was expelled barely some weeks after graduation.
The case was later settled out of court and he was able to attend the University’s convocation after which he was mobilised for the mandatory one year NYSC programme.
