In a condolence message that he personally signed, the federal lawmaker also condoled with his own political family, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo State and at the national level on the transition of Olumilua to eternity.
“The demise of the former SDP Governor of old Ondo State, Evengelist Bamidele Olumilua has certainly marked the end of an era of conscientious politics. Olumilua ruled the old Ondo State with a genuine fear of God and complete love and care for the masses. He would have undoubtedly transformed the old Ondo State but for the military incursion of General Sanni Abacha on November 17, 1993. But, it still gladdens the heart that Evangelist Olumilua made his mark within the short period of 22 months he spent in office as governor”.
Adefisoye however expressed joy that Olumilua lived a fulfilled life and still lived to attain a ripe age of 80 years. He therefore encouraged the immediate family members of Olumilua not to mourn like unbelievers, but to rather celebrate the fulfilled live and time of their patriarch.
Meanwhile, an aspirant gunning for the governorship seat in Ondo state under the APC, Omo’ba Jimi Odimayo, says he received the demise of Evangelist Bamidele Isola Olumilua with deepest heart of condolence at a reap age of 80 years.
“It was positively recorded against his name and administration that remarkable and indelible people oriented projects and programmes were carried out by the focus and progressive government within the short period before the late General Sani Abacha staged a military coup that terminated the civilian administration.
“Since that unfortunate rape on the nation’s democracy and the returned of another Democratic rule in 1999, Pa. Olumilua has continued to engage in politics of better life for his community, his state, the South-West region and Nigeria.
“We are using this medium to send our heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended families of the Olumilua of Ikere-Ekiti, the traditional rulers and entire community of Ikere-Ekiti, the governments and people of both Ondo and Ekiti States, as well as elders and leaders of Yoruba race, worldwide”, Odimayo said.
