…Prophet Alfa, Five Others Return To Olokuta Prison
As trial involving a missing boy in Ondo state, Eniola Gold Kolawole resume on Wednesday, an official of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday tendered a recorded statement of one of the accused persons standing trial in the case.
Gold Kolawole was declared missing at Sotitobire Miracle Centre, Akure, founded by Prophet Babatunde Alfa November, last year.
The DSS personnel, Ms Adijat Owoyemi, who served as the sixth witness in the case, narrated how she quizzed and investigated Head of the Children’s Department of the church, Mrs Margaret Oyebola, when she was arrested.
Oyebola, who is the third defendant in the case, is also standing trial alongside Prophet Alfa and five others.

The accused are all standing trial on a three-count charge including conspiracy to and abetting kidnap over the disappearance of the boy from the church in November, 2019.
During cross-examination by Director of Public Prosecution, Grace Olowoporoku, the secret service official told the court that she recorded the statement of Oyebola while in custody of the DSS in Akure after following due process.
Justice Olusegun Oluwole ruled that the statement of the DSS official is in conformity with section 12 of the ACJA evidence act and thereby admitted.
The court adjourned the case til June 8, 2020 to enable the prosecution call the last witness in the case while Prophet Babatunde and other accused persons in the case were ordered back to the Olokuta Correctional Centre in Akure.
