Bitcoin scammers have made away with over $110,000 following the hacking of Twitter accounts of prominent world leaders on Wednesday, The spectator index is reporting.
“Over $110,000 has been sent to Bitcoin scammers hacking prominent Twitter accounts”, it said on its Twitter handle.
Some of the leaders whose accounts were tampered with are:
– Bill Gates
– Elon Musk
– Joe Biden
– Warren Buffett
– Kanye West
– Michael Bloomberg
– Apple
– Uber
– Jeff Bezos
– Barack Obama
– Benjamin Netanyahu
Twitter however says it is aware of a ‘security incident’ impacting accounts and is ‘taking steps to fix it’
