Pharm. Ikengboju Dele Gboluga Ikengboju: An expedition through the profile of a industrious son of the land.

The name, “Ikengboju” is not an alien in the lexicology of the Ikale dialect. Hence, the prosperous journey of this industrious Ikale son began way back in the 60s, as Gboluga was born into the family of Ikengboju of Ilutitun in Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State.

He spent the entirety of his early life in his community, Ilutitun. There he passed through his primary education at LA Primary School, Ilutitun vis-a-vis his Secondary education at Comprehensive High School, Ilutitun.

In a bid to complement the excellent feat obtained in his basic education, and to pursue a bright future that has come into fulfilment this day, Gboluga proceeded to the University of Benin, Nigeria where he obtained Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1995 (B/Pharm Hons).

To project his name beyond his fatherland, the untiring Gboluga proceeded to The University of Sunderland in United Kingdom for his Oversees Conversion Examination towards becoming a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical society in year 2000, and this feat he achieved.

In furtherance, he proceeded to University of Kent/Medway University, United Kingdom where he obtained Certificate in Medicine use review in 2005.

While he didn’t stop at this very point, his thirst for more knowledge across fields saw him proceeded to University of Winchester, United Kingdom where he obtained Masters degree in Managing Contemporary Global Issues. This, between 2007-2010. Needless it’s stated that his vastness in international relations, saw him made several publications on international issues. One is the publication he made on China engagement with Sub-Sahara Africa which explicitly expressed its Political and Economic impact analysis.

Aside the aforementioned certification in the pharmaceutical cum medical field, the highly cerebral Ikale son underwent further training for self enhancements and proficiencies. These include: Managing Poor Performance, Lloyds United Kingdom in 2003; Managing Change, Lloyds United Kingdom in 2005; United Nations International Project Management Training, Geneva in Switzerland in 2008 amongst others.

In addition, he ably belongs to the following Professional bodies; Member Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria(PSN) and Member Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain(MRPharm).

More importantly, in his God’s given abilities and privileges he had successfully worked with different organizations within and outside the country where he left inimitable impacts and records. They include:
Pfizer Products PLC in 1995-1996, Taraba State Health Services Management Board 1996-1998, Lloyds Pharmacy Ltd as Pharmacy Business Development Manager in 2002-2006 Hampshire Primary Health Care Trust as Consultant Pharmacist in 2006-2007, Mastamed International Ltd, West Africa as Business Manager from 2010 till date.

Shying away from his academic strides, Ikengboju Gboluga sees a greater and more fulfilled purpose in impacting and bettering the society. This he rest upon while he champions several philanthropic activities in his name. He’s been giving and would continue to give. However, with little or no publications as personal principle one could emulate.

In a bid to reach out more and have a more striking impact on lives and the society at large, Gboluga made his way into the Nigerian politics. As his deeds and precedence had set the table before him, Hon. Ikengboju Dele Gboluga is a serving member of the red chamber. He represents Irele/Okitipupa federal constituency in the House of Representatives where he doubles as the Deputy chairman in the House committee on delegated legislation.

Without much ado, Hon. Gboluga is a certified and licensed Pharmacist, an Administrator per excellence, a Business tycoon, a Philanthropist, a grassroot Political mobilizer and a staunch Social Democrat by ideology and practice.
