Ajasin Varsity Restates Commitment to Staff Development, Training

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, will continue to prioritise the development of its workforce through training and other avenues to make them more productive.


This was the promise of the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, while declaring open a week-long computer training programme in Akungba on Monday.

The programme is on the bill of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) through a private technical company.


Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Francis Gbore, said the University would continue to take advantage of every offer to hone the skills of its workers.


He urged the attendees to make the best use of the training and come out better and more efficient.


Speaking earlier, the Director of the Universitys Information Communication Technology Application Centre (ICTAC), Dr David Adewole, had thanked the TetFund for the training.

He disclosed that 140 Teaching and Non-Teaching staff are participating in the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of the training.


He thanked the University Management for providing the enabling environment to nurture the training for the benefit of staff members.


Also speaking, the Manager of OAYASTECH Nigeria Limited, who is responsible for the training, Dr. Peter David Oaya, promised that the trainings would make the staff more productive and committed to duty.
