The Pro-chancellor and founder of Achievers University Owo, Dr Bode Ayorinde says the institution believes in the efficacy of prayers as it is the only way to seek God’s mercy and favour.
Ayorinde stated this at the 13th Christmas carol of the University held on Friday at the institution’s permanent site, Idasen-Ute road, Owo, Ondo state.
He said the University has a culture of starting and ending the year with prayers, hence the annual celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Ayorinde who gave the carol lessons on “the visit of the wise men” which he took from Matthew 2 verses 1 – 12, added that the University is not ashamed of worshiping God.
While thanking the staff and friends of the institution for their support in the outgoing year, Ayorinde attributed the ongoing developmental strides in the school to the grace it enjoys from God, even with the ravaged pandemic.
Venerable Oluwarotimi Komolafe who gave the short exhortation, prayed that God will continue to help Dr Ayorinde to sustain the vision he has for Achievers University.
Venerable Komolafe said the birth of Christ came with a lot of lessons, adding that the peak of all the lessons, is for Christians to accept his teachings and look beyond merriment.
Earlier, the Vice chancellor, Prof. Samuel Aje led other top management of the school to read the lessons of carol taken from the Bible.
