Nurses at the federal medical centre, Owo on Monday morning down tool over the beating of their colleagues by relatives of a patient believed to have died at the hospital’s emergency ward at the weekend.
The Nurses led by the union executives said they won’t return to work until adequate security is provided for them.
While affirming their oath of service to provide care for all, the Nurses said the incident on Sunday whereby relatives of a ‘dead’ patient beat their colleagues was rather unfortunate.
The Precision NG gathered that some of the nurses that were beaten are already receiving treatment on admission at ones of the facilities in the medical centre.
