Judgment will be delivered in the case of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the APC and Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP today Tuesday, April 20.
The secretary to the tribunal (name withheld), confirmed this in a terse message made available to The Precision NG in Akure on Monday evening.
The judgment would be delivered through zoom application, starting from 10am.
The decision to use an online application for the judgment proceedings comes on the heels of the ongoing strike by Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).
More so, the tribunal is also being cautious of the time-frame for the case, as stipulated by the electoral act as amended.
The Precision NG will update our readers as soon as the link to the Zoom application is available.
The terse message by the secretary of the tribunal is below:
“Take notice that judgment in petition No: Ept/Ak/Gov/1/2020 between Eyitayo Olayinka Jegede & ANR and INEC & 3Ors which was earlier fixed for 21st April, 2021 has been re-schedule to tomorrow being 20th April, 2021 by 10am Prompt through zoom.
