The management of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), has notified electricity consumers in Ondo state and parts of Ekiti state, of power outage today Sunday, May 30.
The company in a statement on Saturday, obtained by The Precision NG, noted that the Transmission Company of Nigeria planned outage on the Akure-Osogbo 132Kv line, would be responsible for the blackout.
The statement explained that the power outage initially billed for Saturday, May 29, would now hold today Sunday, May 30, from 8am to 12pm.
The electricity company however assured consumers that power would be restored immediately after the maintenance work on the facility.
The affected areas during the outage are, AKURE township, Ado Ekiti, Igbara Oke, Ikere Ekiti, Iju Itaogbolu and Idanre.
Others are, Owena, Ilawe Ekiti, Ogbese, Ilara Mokin, Awo Ekiti, and Owo town.
Ise/Emure Ekiti, Ifon and Sobe are other areas mentioned in the statement.
