Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has reacted to the overnight attack on Igangan town by Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
Makinde in a post on Sunday morning obtained on his Facebook page wrote:
“I have received the shocking news of the attacks on residents of Igangan, Ibarapaland, in the early hours of this morning. I am currently being briefed on the incidents. I urge residents to remain calm as security operatives are now in control of the situation.”
Igangan came to spotlight recently when activist, Sunday Igboho led residents to sack the Sarkin Fulani of the town, after he was alleged of aiding killer herdsmen.
