The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun has distributed Farm seedlings to Farmers in Ifedore Local Government Area (LGA) of the State.
The distribution which include palm fruits and Cocoa seedlings cut across all the 10 Wards in Ifedore LGA.
Speaking to newsmen after the distribution, Oleyelogun said the empowerment was the second this year.
He said it became necessary because sometimes ago during the dry season, fire razed farms of the beneficiaries, adding that new beneficiaries also enjoyed from the gesture.
The Speaker described Agriculture as a lucrative business that can boost the economy of the state, hence the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure food security.
Leaders in the Ifedore LGA commended the gesture, describing the Speaker as a compassionate leader who always give support to his people.
The beneficiaries thanked the Speaker for the support, adding that they will not take it for granted.
