One person has been confirmed dead as a storey building collapsed along Fanibi junction in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Tuesday morning.
Other members of the family are still trapped in the collapsed building.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around 3 am while the occupants had slept.
Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the building collapsed and one of the occupants, a woman, died instantly as her bodies had been taken out.
He said neighbors had been helping to rescue others including children trapped in the building.
Rescue operators have not arrived at the scene of the incident as at the time of this report. (TheNewsTrack)
