Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved the appointment of the Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, as the new Chairman of the State’s Council of Kings (Obas).
Michael Adeyeye, Chief Press Secretary to the Deji of Akure disclosed this in a news release made available to The Precision NG on Tuesday.

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo has received the news of his appointment as the Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas with utmost joy and all sense of humility.
Oba Aladetoyinbo wishes to appreciate our amiable and dynamic Governor, Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the appointment most importantly at a time when there should be more synergy and collaboration between the Government and the Traditional Institutions in the area of security and overall development of the State.
As the new Chairman of the Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo shall be fully committed to reinvigorating the Traditional Institutions towards making it more responsive to the yearnings of our people, who are eagerly looking forward to the Traditional Rulers to practically proffer solutions to the amalgams of challenges facing our dear Nation and State.
Oba Aladetoyinbo appreciate the immediate past Chairman of the Council, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Fredrick Enitiolorunda Akinrutan Okoro Ajiga I, The Olugbo and Prescribed Authority of Ugbo Land for providing quality leadership for the council while he holds the fort.
Oba Ogunlade equally thanked all the Traditional Rulers in the State and wishes to solicit their continued support for him as the Chairman of the Council.
