A House of Representatives Aspirant for Akure South and North Federal Constituency under the PDP, Mr Babatunde Faro has assured the staff of the State Secretariat of the party that they will be accommodated in his program if finally elected. Faro made this disclosure at a meeting he held with the staff today at the State Secretariat.
This is contained in a statement by Niyi Akinola of the Directorate of Media and Publicity, Ondo State PDP.
Faro said: politics should be entirely for service. It is those that are representing the people at any level that should be servants to the people but the reverse is the case. As soon as they secure the mandate, they become bossy and inaccessible. We will surely return representation to the people.”
“One more thing here is my observation on the non inclusion of the Secretariat staff by elected Representatives in the scheme of things. They are often neglected probably because they think that they are not from any specific constituency.”
The truth of the matter is that PDP is the first constituency to all of us. And you are the ones taking care of our joint constituency. Without you, when people desert the party whenever it loses major elections, there wouldnt have been any Secretariat to pump in to when elections come again. You are indeed the pillars that hold the party and I am really going to involve you in my programmes” Faro declared
The Secretariat Staff could not hide their joy at the visit saying it was the least expected because no one has ever visited them in such manner.
