The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Professor Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin, is billed to receive two outstanding awards next week in Akure by the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Ondo State Council,and the Akure Sunshine Lions Club respectively.
Sanmi Enigbokan, Head, Information, Protocol & Passages of the institution in a statement at the weekend said the two awards are due for November 23 and 27 in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
“The Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists will be bestowing on Professor Fasakin its most credible Annual Award of Excellence as Distinguished Educationist and Public Administrator of the Year 2021 in recognition of his track records of achievements which had culminated in the repositioning of Federal Polytechnic, Ile- Oluji as a world-class citadel of learning in technology, science and management.
“The event which is to hold on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021 is part of the activities lined-up to commemorate this year’s Press Week at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure, by 11:00 a.m,” he said.
Similarly, the Akure Sunshine Lions Club, in conjunction with the Lions Clubs International, District 404A1, Nigeria will converge on Oyemekun Grammar School Hall, Akure on Saturday 27th November, 2021 to again decorate Prof. Fasakin with an award of Outstanding Community Leaderships.
“Expected at the occasion are personalities drawn from all walks of life, including Staff, Students and Friends of the Institution.
“Management, on behalf of the entire Polytechnic Community, rejoices with our performing Rector on this well- deserved recognition and wishes him more glorious attainments in his endeavours,” the statement added.
