The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure has freed Margaret Oyebola, the head teacher at Sotitobire Praising Chapel.
Oyebola was sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice Olusegun Odusola of the Ondo State High Court on October 6, 2020 alongside Prophet Babatunde Alfa, after Gold Kolawole was declared missing in the Church in November, 2019.
The Court in its judgement read by Justice James Gambo Abundaga said the circumstantial evidence relied upon by the lower court is not sufficient to show that the boy was kidnapped.
