The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has approved the migration of Crest 87.7 FM to 106.1 frequency dial effective January 1st, 2022.
Adeolu Gboyega, the Chief Operating Officer of Crest 87.7 FM, Akure in a statement said the new move is to totally address the several identified technical issues surrounding auto tuning, clarity of sound in certain car stereo and transistor radio models.
“As part of our deliberate efforts to further provide quality broadcasting to our ever loyal listener, we are assured that our friends and fans will join us in this new journey of rebranding as we further take the lead as the fastest rising radio station in the sunshine state.
“Furthermore, the year 2022 by the special grace of God will open several other vistas in our deliberate plan to ensure that broadcasting is totally redefined in Ondo State.
“One after the other, several other laudable ideas and projects on our stable will be unveiled in our quest to serve you better.
“January 1st, 2022 will mark a new dawn for the Crest FM brand on the 106.1 frequency.
