How Christians Observed First Sunday In Ondo

Christians in Akoko area of Ondo state on Sunday joined others globally to observe the first Sunday in the year 2022.

Our correspondent reports that Christians trooped out in numbers to their various Churches, an indication of the importance of first Sunday of the year to them.

The Children weren’t left out in the special service.

A retired Anglican church cleric, Rev. Cannon, Foluso Ogunsuyi in a chat recorded that the significance of the service was to show appreciation to God Almighty for making people surmounting many challenges in the previous year.

He urged Christians to renew their faith with God Almighty, remains steadfastly and prayerful.

In one of the Church services at Christ Apostolic Church CAC Oluwadamilare Okeagbe Akoko Northwest local government area of Ondo state commended Nigerians for their hard work, perseverance and devotion to work particularly among the working class despite all odds. Gabriel Agbaje said year 2022 is very crucial in the country because its penultimate year to the general election that will usher in new administration.

The cleric urged politicians who hadn’t been performing to change for good while those delivering dividends of democracy to continue and increase their tempo so as to reduce poverty,hopelessness,untimely deaths and insecurity in the land.

Agbaje appealed to clerics to always be role models, tell the truth always and pray for our leaders for them to be able govern the country justly.
