A federal high court sitting in Abuja has struck out the case involving the federal government (FG) and the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Chief Ramon Adedoyin and nine others over the alleged murder of Timothy Adegoke.

The ruling came on the heels of the withdrawal of the case by the federal government since the counsel to the Adegoke family, Femi Falana requested that the case file should be transferred to Osun State, since the incident happened at Ile-Ife.

Falana had in a letter signed on February 4, 2022, requested the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to on behalf of the FG transfer the case file to the Attorney General (AG) of Osun State since the death of Timothy Adegoke happened in the state.

The Osun AG is expected to study the case file and then file a case against the chief suspect, Chief Adedoyin and nine others before a reputable court in the State.
