The Ondo State National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called on the people of the state to actively participate in the March Edition of monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise slated for tomorrow Saturday, March 26.

The exercise holds between the hours of 7-10am with full restrictions of both human and vehicular movement during the period of the exercise across the 18 Local government areas of the State.

In a statement by the Ondo NOA Director, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu made available to newsmen in Akure on Friday through the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Ralph Oguntibeju, NOA urged the people of the state to massively come out and tidy up their surroundings.

The statement also enjoined residents to maximise the time to clear and clean their drainage channels and premises, as well as dispose waste properly at designated points for the government accredited waste collectors to pick-up.

The release stated that anyone found dumping waste inappropriately, would be prosecuted in accordance with the State Environmental Extant Laws.

The NOA boss therefore directed all the COMOS in the 18 Local government across the state to closely monitor the exercise and report accordingly immediately after the sanitation exercise.
