The Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) has paid glowing tributes to her late reporter, Shola Ilesanmi, who died on Tuesday during a brief illness.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the OSRC media group, Mr Kunle Adebayo, described Shola as a young, diligent and enterprising journalist, whose quest for ethics and excellence were the defining character of his career.

“While in the service of our organisation, his dedication to duty, love for colleagues and contributions to our mission and vision was immense and incomparable. He demonstrated rare love and enviable candour for his profession and Ondo State. He was a great team player whose insights provided great verve to our editorial debates on building a greater and better Nigeria.

“This sudden death of our former colleague is a personal loss which pain will remain as a deep scar in our heart.

“We express our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family and his last employer, the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC, Nigeria Service, for this great loss.

“We pray to God to grant the departed eternal rest and give the young family he left behind, the fortitude to bear this monumental loss.”
