Breaking: Ondo Govt Orders Contesting Political Appointees To Resign By Thursday

The Ondo State Government has ordered political appointees participating in the upcoming primary elections in the State, ahead of the 2023 general elections, to resign on or before Thursday, April 14.

The government’s directive is contained in a letter by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Princess Oladunni Odu and made available to all appointees on Monday.

The SSG in the circular letter, said the decision became imperative, in view of the recent Presidential assent on the Electoral Act as amended.

The letter, added that appointees who are also participating as delegate members during the primaries should resign their positions.
