On Children’s Day, ZL Boss, Bashorun Harps On Child Rights Act

The Managing Director of ZL Global Alliance, Dr. Abiola Bashorun, has advocated full implementation of the Child Rights Act to protect Nigerian children from all forms of abuse and to enable them to reach their full potential.

Dr. Bashorun made the call at a party and free medical check-up organized by the company in Ilaje local government area of Ondo State, to celebrate children in the council on the occasion of 2022 Children’s Day.

The ZL boss who said the initiative is in furtherance of the company’s corporate social responsibility explained that children’s welfare must be prioritized to prepare them for a bright future in which to properly lead the country.

Dr. Bashorun, who expressed concern about cases of child abuse in the country, called on government at all levels, civil society organizations, human rights groups, high-profile individuals and organizations to ensure the implementation of the Child Rights Act to protect the future of Nigerian children.

While congratulating the children on the 2022 celebration, Dr. Bashorun said the company will continue to connect with children in rural areas including Ilaje local government area to become responsible leaders of tomorrow.

She however urged residents to prioritize cleanliness and promote a hygienic society while the company continues to fulfill its mission of ensuring a cleaner Ondo State.

Dr. Bashorun said the idea of giving back to the society would not have been possible without the support of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa who set agenda for the company to deliver on its administration’s drive of achieving a hygienic Ondo State.

The ZL Managing Director thanked the Akeredolu-led administration for its continued support and pledged that her company would continue to commit human and material resources to enable government achieve its mission of making the state a beacon of cleanliness.

It was indeed an auspicious day for the children to be celebrated as some of them who basked in the euphoria of the celebration hailed the company for celebrating them and promised to promote a hygienic culture.

Residents enjoyed free medical check-up so they could know their health status, and the beneficiaries of the gesture appreciated ZL Global Alliance management for identifying with them and helping them know their health status.
