Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Ondo East/West Federal Constituency in the 2023 national assembly elections, Dr Felix Kehinde, has felicitated with the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun state, Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke of the PDP defeated the sitting Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 28,344 votes to emerge winner.
In a statement personally signed by Dr Kehinde, the frontline politician and physician of international stature described the victory of Adeleke as the collective voice of the masses.
According to him, “The just-concluded Osun state governorship election has sent a clear message that the collective will of the people is supreme. I congratulate the candidate of our great party, the PDP, for emerging victorious”.
The Ondo East/West PDP House of Representatives candidate said “the victory of PDP in Osun is a sign that people are tired of APC and their anti-people policies, and are going to replicate that across the country in 2023”.
He advised Adeleke to be magnanimous in victory and see this as a win for the people of Osun state.
