Oyo State Governorship Aspirant in the just concluded 2023 primary election, Prince Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has cautioned members of the National Working Committee of the APC to do all necessary reconciliation if they want to return APC as a ruling party in the state come 2023.
Adeduntan gave this warning in a release issued in reaction to the victory of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Osun state gubernatorial candidate, Ademola Adeleke and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
The former Oyo State commissioner of health who shares the pain and loss of Governor Oyetola, who he described as a fine gentleman and capable Governor, his loss is not unconnected with unresolved intraparty squabbles and interests among several other reasons, including but are not limited to insecurity, half salaries and unpaid pensions by his predecessors, rising cost of living including PMS, cooking gas, a more efficient INEC and introduction of digital technology, none of these is greater than the fight to finish between Aregbesola and Oyetola, as well as their supporters.
Adeduntan meeting with his supporters
He called on the NWC Of APC as well as APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intercede in the OYO APC fraudulent (Jagba primaries) in order not to travel the road to perdition like that of Osun APC and to prevent the electoral disaster in 2023 ,similar to that of Saturday July 16th 2022 in OSUN STATE.
Adeduntan-a Harvard trained board certified International cardiovascular surgeon, former Labour Party candidate for oyo state in 2011, recalled with trepidation that VP ATIKU won OYO State in 2019 presidential election
by defeating BUHARI by a thousand plus votes, notwithstanding the fact that An APC Governor, Abiola AJIMOBI was in the saddle.
ADEDUNTAN advised TINUBU, not to take South west states for granted and Oyo APC to learn quickly from OSUN APC electoral disaster.
“Those that GOD wants to destroy,he first makes mad and arrogant “.
There will be no “JAGBA” in 2023 elections ,as clearly evident in OSUN State.
The Nigerian electorates are getting wiser and learning from other civilized climes exemplified by SRI LANKA where they drove out their president and in Osun state where they drove their GOVERNOR OUT with their votes.
“Nigeria is part of the stratosphere,“ what happens in the world is not hidden from Nigerians – “the power of their votes.”
He congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, for ensuring free, credible and fair contest during his watch, the legacy the people of Osun will forever treasure.
May NIGERIA succeed through free ,fair and credible elections, because a fraudulent (“JAGBA”) primary or election is the worst form of corruption anywhere in the world, a “rape and assault on democracy ,“as it imposes an unpopular and unwanted candidate on the public, Adeduntan concluded.
