Princess Odu, in a statement made available to newsmen, said Mama Grace Akeredolu was a peace loving and caring mother who dedicated her entire life to the service of God and the benefit of humanity.

The SSG who noted that death is inevitable and dealing with it not easy, observed that Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu devoted her resources and time to the training of her children and left a footprint that is adorable and worthy of emulation.

“O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God who gave Mama the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

“My deepest sympathy goes to our own Governor, his siblings and the entire Akeredolus’. I pray the Lord will console you. I wish you peace, courage and comfort at this trying period.” She stated.

The Secretary to the State Government also prayed the Lord grant the Governor, his siblings, the entire family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss.

In a press statement by John Paul Akinduro, his Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, Mimiko described the late Evangelist Akeredolu as one who devoted her time to the service God and humanity.

“I just learnt of the passing of Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu the mother of my friend, the Governor of Ondo state. Though, a painful exit, mama lived a life of selfless service that is worthy of emulation. I pray that God grants her eternal rest,” Mimiko in the statement said.

He added that he has fond memories of Mama as an “industrious, accomodating matriarch who opened her doors to friends and acolytes of her children and made all who came in contact with her feel loved.”

The former governor expressed his deepest condolences to the government and people of Ondo state and the Akeredolu family of Owo.

MY HEART IS HEAVY! GOOD NIGHT MAMA AKEREDOLUODIMAYO

The news of the transition to eternity of the mother of our dutiful Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN came to me personally, a rude shock because Mama has been radiating and bumbling with life since her 90th Birthday celebration, last year.

However, we take solace in the Almighty God for an exemplary lifetime, devoted to serving God and humanity, especially in evangelising and philanthropic gestures of late Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu.

To our Governor and his siblings, your mother was one of the nicest person ever, so I sympathise with the entire Akeredolu family, Owo kingdom, the Anglican Communion and Ondo State in general.

Kindly stay strong, Your Excellency, while mourning for your beloved and kindhearted mother.

She was truly a wonderful woman that all of us will always remember how amazing she was, her motherly advice, free gift of wisdom, generosity and agape love.

I pray for you and your family on this painful loss. May your mother live among you through her sweet memories and unconditional love to everyone she had contact with during her sojourn on planet earth.

Our joy know no bound knowing fully well that Mama was an angel and shall remain one among other saints in heaven.

Please accept my sincere condolence for Mama’s death, as no one can replace her place but Almighty God can comfort your heart! May her soul rest in perfect peace.

My deepest sympathy to you, your family, Owo kingdom, Anglican Communion and the entire Ondo State.

May the kind and gentle soul of LADY EVANGELIST GRACE BOSEDE AKEREDOLU rest peacefully in the blossom of our Lord Jesus. Amen!

With heavy heart,

Prince Jimi Odimayo

Ode-Irele,
Ondo State.
