The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has commiserated with the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his siblings over the passage of their beloved mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.

In a statement signed by the Monarch’s Special Assistant on Media, Sam Adewale, and made available to the Media, Oba Ogunoye described Mama’s demise as a great loss not only to the Akeredolu family, but Owo Kingdom, Ondo State and Nigeria in general.

Oba Ogunoye pointed out that the virtuous and Godly life Mama lived are enough attributes for the entire family to be proud of.

The Monarch who disclosed that, though, her exit was painful, but the fact that, she fought a good fight by living an indelible foot print as a loving and caring mother of note, will be dearly missed by many.

Oba Ogunoye prayed that, the Almighty God grant the Governor, siblings and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant Mama eternal rest.

Edema condoles Akeredolu over mother’s death

The immediate past Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC, Hon. Gbenga Edema, has commiserated with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State over the demise of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu.

Condoling with Akeredolu and his siblings, Edema, in a statement on Thursday, urged the Governor to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a good and fulfilled life during which she made priceless contributions to humanity.

The matriarch of the Akeredolu’s dynasty gave up the ghost in her sleep in the early hours of Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the age of 90.

While paying glowing tribute to Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu,
for being a good and loving mother not to just her children but also to everyone around her, Edema, a former lawmaker, joined the good people of Ondo State to mourn the departed matriarch of the Akeredolu family.

According to Edema, the family should be consoled in the fact that their matriarch lived to witness the successes of her children who rose to the peak of their careers.

“We thank God for her life and we pray the Lord grants our dear governor, his siblings and the entire family the grace to bear this loss.

“My prayers and thoughts are with the governor as well as the entire family at this time.

“Mama was a conscientious Christian who spent her years in the service of God and the community.

“What she stood for is reflected in the moral uprightness of her children, who are excelling in their many disciplines and are renowned for their honours,” Edema said.

Though pained by this irreparable loss of your dear mama at the ripe age of 90, we know you are comforted by the well published fact of her fulfilled and fruitful life in service of God and mankind. Her renown kindness, generosity, Christian lifestyle and total devotion to the welfare of everyone around her attest to the magnitude of the loss.

We sincerely pray to God to grant our Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his siblings and the immediate family the fortitude to bear the loss and the grace to succesfully commit the remains of the departed to a worthwhile funeral obsequies.
