Occupants of Ijebu-Owo Community lands especially from Owo High School to Ikare Junction to Ijebu-Owo Motor Park and beyond have been urged not to entertain fear over possible dislodgement from land grabbers.

The Council in a statement made available to newsmen indicates that Ijebu-Owo remains the legitimate owner of the parcels of land as described by traditional history and confirmed by law.

The statement signed by the Chairman, Ijebu-Owo Land Committee, High Chief Akintunde Aminu, the Eminogwa of Ijebu-Owo states that the recent Supreme Court judgment as being paraded by one, Mr Orimadegun Oshorunnaiye is never to the effect that there was an adverse claim to his benefit or benefit of anyone whosoever on any piece of land in Ijebu-Owo.

The statement emphasized that any Committee set up by the said Mr Oshorunnaiye is illegal in the eye of the law and traditional history and therefore cannot stand.

The statement therefore cautioned the general public and the said committee members to be informed and guided.

The statement adds that all occupants of piece of land, makeshift, temporary or permanent facilities to go about their lawful living and daily activities.
