Comrade Usman Umar Barambu has emerged the President-elect for the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS).
Precision Online Newspaper earlier reported that Comrade Umar Faruk Lawal from Bayero University Kano has emerged the new president.
However, sources who are familiar with the NANS politics revealed that the body is factionalised and that the faction which produced Barambu is the one recognized by law.
Barambu, a student of Economics and Development Studies in Federal University, Dutse, was declared winner of the election that took place at the NANS national convention on Saturday, 3rd September, 2022.
He defeated other 13 aspirants in the contest.
