Youth Advocate, Oluwatosin Olaniran To Speak At International Democracy Day Lecture Sept 15

As the international community gathers to celebrate the International Democracy Day held annually on 15th September, several organizations and policy makers have geared efforts towards developing discussions and forum to commemorate the event.


It is against this backdrop, that Nigeria’s fast rising youth advocate and leadership aficionado, Oluwatosin Olaniran has been invited by the All Nigeria United Nations Students and Youths Association of the Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo to deliver the keynote address at the maiden edition of the International Democracy Day Public Lecture billed for Thursday 15th September, 2022.

The immediate past President of the Law Students’ Society UNIOSUN and Founder/CEO of the Legal Torch Initiative will be addressing students, youth leaders, stakeholders, top governments functionaries and members of the public at the august gathering and share his thoughts on the theme – Strengthening democratic resilience in the face of political crises: – The roles of Youths.

It would be recalled that Oluwatosin Olaniran has been at the front row for public policy advocacy and youth participation in governance in Nigeria and Africa.

He has been adjudged to be one of the leading light within the Nigerian students community and has been frequently honoured for his excellent performance as a notable law students in Nigeria under the leadership category.


In 2020, he received the highest law students National Award of Excellence as Nigeria’s Most Innovative Law Student of the Year by the Law Students Association of Nigeria.
