Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps gets a new State Commandant in person of Commandant Olatundun Olayinka who hails from Osun State.
Addressing officers and men of the command at the muster parade, the new helmsman appreciated the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD mni OFR for the opportunity to serve and he pledged to key into the vision of the Commandant General in taking the Corps to a greater height.
While speaking, Commandant Olatundun eulogized his predecessor, Dr Hammed Abodunrin for his achievements in the State and solicited for the cooperation of the officers to build and sustain the good works.
“To build is very easy, to maintain requires greater efforts. All hands should be on deck to sustain the tempo and to do more. We need discipline, commitment and dedication to our core mandates and with effective synergy and collaboration with sister agencies. Above all, the people’s trust in us as a responsible and responsive agency must not be taken for granted.” He admonished.
Still speaking on support, Commandant Olatundun appreciated the government of Ondo state for her continuous support to the Corps at all times and he looks forward to working harmoniously with the present security architecture on ground in the State.
“Ondo State is adjudged to be one of the most peaceful States in the country. This feat didn’t just happen, it was because of the deliberate effort of the Arakurin led government in ensuring that the good people of the Sunshine State are safe with their property.
“Under my watch, NSCDC Ondo Command will reciprocate the good gesture and investment of the government in security in the State.” Olatundun assured.
The helmsman warned criminal elements operating in the State to either relocate from the State or face the wrath of the law because the command under his watch will deploy every available resources to flush them out.
Commandant Olatundun Olayinka untill his deployment served at the Directorate of Critical National Asset and Infrastructure (CNAI) National Headquarters of the Corps.
