The 2022 Ijare day grand finale holds today Saturday 12th November by 10am at Anglican Grammar School open field.
Dr Olusola Fayose, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee of Ijare Day 2022, in a statement made available to Precision Online Newspaper , congratulated sons and daughters of Ijare on witnessing another memorable event.
According to the statement, the construction of the new Olujare palace will form the agenda at the event.
“We congratulate the Regent of Ijare, Chief Salotun Joseph Omoseebi and President Ijare Egbe Omo Elewe Obi, Asiwaju Akinsola Oluwole, on this joyous occasion.
“We urge all Ijare indigenes, residing at home and abroad to grace the occasion. The development of Ijare should be our priority,” the statement noted.

The event will also feature presentation of merit/commendation awards; scholarship awards to Ijare students in tertiary institutions; empowerment projects for artisans.
During the course of the weeklong celebration, the organisers and Ijare residents will dance round the town, while there will be education/career talk.
Also, there will be free medical check-up/examinations and distribution of drugs while cross country race and Jumat service was observed.
