Akin Osuntokun Appointed New DG, Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council

The Labour Party has appointed Mr Akin Osuntokun as the new Director General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council following the resignation of Dr Doyin Okupe as the campaign DG.

Announcing the appointment of the New campaign DG in Abuja, the National Chairman of the Labour Mr Julius Abure said the party arrived at the decision after consultation with the party’s stakeholders.

Mr Abure explained that Mr. Akin Osuntokun was favoured to replace Dr Doyin Okupe considering his experience and commitment to the delivery of Mr Peter Obi as the next President of Nigeria in the 2023 elections as well as his position as the next in command to the DG in the Labour Party campaign organization.

The Chairman said Mr Osuntokun who is from the same Geo-political zone with Dr Okupe is expected to work harmoniously with all party members to ensure the party’s victory in the 2023 elections.

Dr Doyin Okupe, had resigned as the Director General of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council following his conviction by a Federal High Court for Money laundering.

The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi and other Party stakeholders were around at the announcement of the new Director General of the Labour Party campaign council
