A book, “Overcoming Depression” written by Dr. Yetunde Olagbuji, a consultant public health physician, has won the book of the year award.
While unveiling Dr. Olagbuji’s new book as the book of the year on its Facebook page, PrintDoctor Africa, the publishing firm which organized the award, disclosed that the voting score for “Overcoming Depression” was 28.7% of the voters, amounting to 829 votes out of 2884 votes.
According to the organizers, the author, Dr. Olagbuji will enjoy a cash prize of N100,000; a website and domain for a year; newspaper features among others.
The book, which was launched on December 16, among students of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, was written to bridge the knowledge gap among young people and all stakeholders (parents, teachers, churches, and society at large) and shared practical tips of how they can overcome depression.
The award was put together by PrintDoctor Africa in partnership with PressOne Africa.
Dr. Yetunde Olagbuji was a recipient of the 2022 Precision Merit Award organised by Precision Online Newspaper for her contribution to the development of the Adolescents in Ondo State.
