President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday says he is responsible for ordering the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to change the naira notes of 200, 500 and 1000 to a new one.
Buhari stated this during a live broadcast currently being aired on national television and radio stations in the country.
Buhari, who stated that the policy is in line with global best practices, noted that it will checkmate terrorism, corruption and acquisition of money through illegal means.
