Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, says his purported resignation is fake and figment of the imagination of the enemies of the State.
Oleyelogun spoke on Friday through his Chief of Staff, Engr. Adebobola Festus.
“How on earth will the Speaker who has been staring the affairs of the Ondo State House of Assembly for the past six (6) years and preparing for the Valedictory Service of 9th Assembly today 2nd June, 2023 just resign like that,’he said.
“The letter head paper for the purported letter is not my own, I cannot write letter without reference number. Such letter can only be addressed to Mr Governor if in case and copy to Mr. Clerk. Hence, they forged my signature and whoever that might have done this is a criminal.
“I wish to inform the general public to remain calm and let them know that the Ondo State House of Assembly is peaceful,” the statement read.
