The Online Media Professionals (OMP) in Ondo State on Sunday congratulated the new Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in the State, Comrade (Mrs) Tola Gbadamosi.
The OMP in a statement by its Chairman, Hakeem Adebumiti and Secretary, Tope Adedeji, described the emergence of Mrs Gbadamosi, as strategic towards the development of Women Journalists in Ondo State.
OMP observed that the appointment of the Senior Crime Reporter, who has been running the association alongside her colleagues in acting capacity, over the last few months, was a right peg in the right hole.
OMP further urged Mrs Gbadamosi to work with her colleagues in the media profession in the State, to champion the cause of women empowerment through constant training, health awareness and welfare benefits.
Mrs Tola Gbadamosi is a Senior Crime Reporter at Owena Press, publishers of The Hope Newspaper.
An Alumnae of the University of Benin and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Mrs Gbadamosi is an award winner of the best performing staff at the Hope Newspaper;
NUJ Award winner as the best investigative reporter of the year;
NUJ chairman’s best members of the year; one time NUJ Press week Chairman; and
one time Assistant Secretary, NAWOJ.
She is happily married to Mr Christopher Gbadamosi from Ifon Local Government Area in Ondo state and blessed with two great men.
