The overall best graduate in the Faculty of Nursing, Achievers University, Owo, Ms. Mercy Akinduko says the greatest feat that was achieved by her set was the fact that they had a 100 percent success in their registered midwife examination.
An elated Ms. Akinduko disclosed this on Thursday in Owo while delivering the valedictory speech at the induction of 194 graduate nurse of Achievers University by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
She said the collective efforts of their lecturers on them was impacting as most of them graduated fulfilling their dreams.
“We also remember the loving drills and tests that were given to us by some of our Lecturers whenever we were preparing for examinations, which were to me bit frustrating at times. However, we thank God that it ended in praise. What do I say about our Registered Midwives examination result, when we actually had a whole 100% success. Indeed, God is good,” she said.
The Valedictorian took time to acknowledge the relentless efforts of the NMCN boss, Dr Faruk U mar Abubakar; Founder of Achievers University, Hon Dr. Bode Ayorinde; the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Omolola Irinoye and the Head of Department, Dr Oluwaseun Abiodun for making their dreams become a reality.
“We express our profound gratitude to our esteemed Lecturers and Clinical Instructors, and all who supervised our clinical postings for their persistence in impacting our lives positively. We thank you all for your efforts. God will take care of you and your children.
“On behalf of all the graduands. I use this opportunity to say a big thank to you to all our sacrificial and wonderful parents. We can’t appreciate you enough for the endless love and supports you have showered on us. We pray that God will grant you long life and abundant grace in perfect health to reap all the good fruits of your labour in Jesus name, Amen.”
