Budget: Aiyedatiwa Signs Ondo’s 2024 Appropriation Bill Into Law

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Friday signed the 2024 appropriation bill tagged “Budget of Economic Resilience” into law.

The speaker of the house, Olamide Oladiji presented the budget to the Governor at the Exco Chamber of the Governor’s office in Akure.

The Governor said the signing became necessary after extensive deliberation involving interface with all MDAs and the judiciary.

Aiyedatiwa said that the budget which stands at N395.257 billion naira only out of which 222,259,827,500 billion naira representing 56.23 percent for the capital Expenditure while 172,997,172,500 billion naira, 43.77 per cent covers the recurrent Expenditure

He appreciated the speaker of the house and members for their cooperation and reaffirmed that emphasis would be placed on climate change, clean and sustainable environment, rural development and food security.

Governor Aiyedatiwa assured that the good legacy of late governor oluwarotimi Akeredolu would be sustained and all ongoing projects completed

The Governor promised that people oriented projects and programmes in line with Redeemed Agenda would be implemented and the Revenue drive of the state improved

Earlier the commissioner for budget and Economic planning, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan said the budget of economic Resilience would give the people hope and economic succour
