The League of Imams & Alfas in Ondo State received the News of the death of former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu with shock but with the total submission to the will of Allah, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth
In a statement by the Chairman of the league who doubles as the Chief Imam of Owo, Alhaji (Imam) Ahmad Aladesawe, said the late Governor would forever be remembered for his exemplary leadership in the state, particularly, his fair dealings with both Christians and the Muslims.
Alhaji Aladesawe who recalled that Arakunrin Akeredolu was the first Governor to build Mosque at the Government House said his bravery, sincerity and honest disposition were second to none during his seven years tenure
While saying every soul is destined to taste death at a given period, Alhaji Aladesawe conveyed the sympathy and condolences of the entire Muslims in Ondo State and beyond to the state government, the entire Akeredolu family, the Olowo of Owo and the people of Owo in general.
Alhaji Aladesawe used the occasion to congratulate Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for stepping into the shoes of his Boss.
He assured him that Religious leaders in the state would support his administration with prayers while urging him to be focused and build on the exemplary legacies of his late Boss.
